Cuba in colour

Cuba was the first place I visited that was far, far away. It was in March, 2017. I was 21.
I went to Cuba for the colours, for the feeling of travelling back in time. It gave so much more.
It started this whole idea of ‘photography captures something, freezes it in a moment of time’. The concept that this is the world now, but you’ll look at these photos 30 years later and think ‘what kind of world was that?’.
I took from Cuba what, tragically, most of the world has taken. I took inspiration, but I gave back very little. I took the memories, and I left it. I am not politically wise enough to give any type of philosophical insight here - I just hope Cuba gets back, in equal measures, what is has to give.
